Taste Good

The service is quick, food is cheap, and all the sauces are on point at this Elmhurst located restaurant. The satay is okay but you can make it better by dipping it in the sweet chili sauce next to the hainanese rice. This totally satisfied my craving for roti canai!

Tip: Bring CASH and order all the things. I certainly did!

Phayul

This Tibetan restaurant allows you to order shareable plates so you can indulge on as many different dishes as you want. I really like the vegetable dish and the noodle soup broth. The noodle soup reminds me a lot of Pho but with hand drawn noodles instead of vermicelli.  I even tried buttered tea for the first time and now I want to put salt in all my teas!

Eim Khao Mun Kai Elmhurst

Eim Khao Mun Kai Elmhurst
81-32 Broadway, Elmhurst, NY 11373

$8.99 for a heaping of chicken, a bowl of rice, some cucumbers, daikon soup and one canned drink is a bargain. I passed by Eim Elmhurst this weekend on my way to get a haircut in Elmhurst. Due to the derailment of the F train, I had to take a 7 and walk about a mile to the salon. Since it was such a nice day, it gave me a chance to check out a bunch of the stores on the way there! The chicken was moist and great with the mild spicy sauce. The ginger rice and gizzards were a bonus addition to the dish. I would definitely come by again for Hainanese chicken the next time I am in the area.
