Cheese Puffs are Not Cheese-y
Okay, this entry is actually a week late, so sue me. (Hi, this is Victoria, how are you?) Anywho, last Sunday was the SuperBowl (WOOO STEELERS!) which, in my house, means that Dad sits around drinking beer and the sister sits around eating food, all while watching me throw things (read: food) at the TV and scream things at the little men on the screen.
For some reason unknown to Buddha, I decided it’d be a good idea to dig out my takoyaki pan (which I bought months ago but have only used once) and use it to make perfectly round cheese puffs (aka gougeres).
This failed epicly, though. As you can see from the picture above, they didn’t really rise evenly, and they didn’t taste of anything either… very bland. I was extremely sad, but my dog really liked them, so now it’s a doggie treat, I suppose. I don’t dote on my dog as much as Jenny does hers, but maybe you’ll like the recipe? (for yourself, I mean, not your dog -.-;;)
